Bangkok trip - 8-12 May 2008

hee! it was a fun but very very tiring trip. Imagine sleeping at ard 3-4am and waking up the next day morning at ard 8plus.Everyday sleeping less than 5 hours is quite a chore man! and beyond that we really shop for almost 14 hrs on the second and third day - from 10am to ard 12midnight! ha! heres an update of wat happen during this short trip - stay tuned! =)

First day - Board the flight at 1055am and off we flew to BKK! reached our hotel at ard Bkk 2pm and there we goes unloading our stuffs. Checked our rooms to make sure everything is in tact and sad to say our heater wasn't working. but it was fixed by the technician and off we went for our shopping spree!and our first stop is MBK! had our super late lunch prior to our shopping trip at MBK foodcourt. Most of us ate the pork noodle and it was so-so only. nothing fantastic but was cheap la. And we went seperate ways from the guys and continued with our shopping. it was still the same as 3 yrs ago. nth much there. still alot of things selling at 199 baht.nv bought anything much from there. just bought a skirt and a super pretty minnie mouse umbrella. haha.

Dinner was at ShabuOishi! from the outside, it looks gd! but the dinner was a disappointing one la.Maybe its becos the plug wasn't functioning and hence food wasn't really cooked properly. the heat keep turning off by itself and this really infuriates us! We were very very hungry and yet we cant eat our fave steamboat! thank God for the fried tempuras at that time. and poor feilin, jing and ling was spilled when the waiter accidentally spill the soup on them. Ha, first time saw feilin so angry. We all stood silence when he scolded the waiter by saying " Don't u know how to say sorry?" . can see that the waiter was really apolegetic about it. perhaps the food will taste better if the above incident did not happen.

After dinner, went back to our hotel to celebrate Miss hazels bday! Happy 23rd Birthday XIAO HEI~! and guess wat, we didnt have a knife to cute the cake and we didn't have a fork to eat the cake! end up we use the birthday tag to cut the cake and we use Our FINGERs to dig into the cake and eat! simply UNGLAM!! haha! but the cake was really delicious. haha! wat a way to eat a cake! and after which we played indian poker! and poor me and hazel keep drinking! to a point i actually got a little high and drunk thaT I "Chu Chou" again. haiz. i actually dance the roller coaster dance on jeff's bed! it was hilarious la! can't stop laughing when i saw the video clip lor! lol. and this marks our first day. :)

On the second day, we had out American Breakfast(Jeff's fav) before heading to Platinum mall. And Platinum mall really have lotsa stuffs! we(the girls) actually use 2.5-3 hours to conquer only the first level! Gdness! we were so tired by noon time! had A&W for lunch and it was again so-so. I still love their rootbeer float though. :) We continued our shopping while the guys did their 1st/2nd massage, can't remember . ha. And we went wacoal to buy our Lingeries! it was awesomely cheap as compared to Singapore! we bought quite alot(to the extend we are able to claim tax). hee. Drank Gershon's recommended BLack Canyon iced coffee! and its really very very nice! All of us love it! Continued our shopping thereafter. And Miss Hazel was very very funny whenever she passed by any winter clothings shop. She will act so agitated and said "You Zhe Ge Bi Yao Ma? (izzit necessary?)" which makes all of us laugh till pengz. and she actually said it everytime we passed by a winter clothing store! haha.Bought 4 bags and a necklace from here.

Did not manage to conquer all stores and we were already so tired. went back to our hotel to put our stuffs and off we went to chinatown for our dinner! Ha! and we actually squeeze ourselves(6 persons) into a small tuk tuk meant for 2-3 person! it was really an unforgetable experience! Everyone was in a rather difficult and uncomfortable position especially ruijing and liling! hahaha! In order to prevent jeff from falling off the little transport,Jing's position was super funny! All of us were laughing hard and we wondered why we want to make ourselves so miserable just to save money! haha.Had sharkfin and seafood at Chinatown which wasn't really up to our expectations again. I feel that the sharkfin is nice but abit too peppery. and i love the big, juicy and succulent prawn!and our next stop is suan lom night market. Bought alot of food and gan liang over there. and the guys really can be the next host for Bai Jia le! Cos they really do alot of shopping for their rooms. Most things they bought were bought to decorate their rooms. And we passed by this store selling magic things which amazes us. Jeff bought a set of magic poker where all our reactions becum "Chey" when the trick is revealed to us. And we did our foot and shoulder massage there! ha. poor feilin, he kena the most painful massage ever, the guy whom massage on him simply uses 101% of his strength! can see that he is really in pain! haha. I was laughing all the way as it was real itchy. thankfully i ask for minimal pain massage even before they start to massage me. haha.

Went back to our hotel, bathed, ate pizza and start our Heart Attack game! ha. poor ling cant sleep peacefully cos my leg keep nudging her and she got step by feilin too. haha. and Poor me! keep kena elbowed by Jing!! ROAR! haha. the game was a real violent one la. we played till the cards actually tore. ha. and Hazel keep pushing her hands through ours in order not to be hit! Another ROAR! :P And soon we becum tired after all the shouting and laughing. Second day ended. :)

Ha! Third day liao.had our ABF again and off we went to Chatuchak! And it was really very hot there! My sweat was dripping as if i just completed a 10km run! ha. it was that hot! shall show u all my pek cek face soon when i get the pics from Jing and Jeff. Think i bought the most things from Chatuchak. hee. bought a top, 2 skirts, 2 belts and also some accesories from there. it would be nicer to shop if it is air-conditioned. heehee. Had our lunch at this fastfood restaurant at JJ mall. And its deceiving again! haha. from the outside, the food looks hot with heat coming out from it, but actually when we eat it, its not hot at all! but overall still not that bad.Went to this coffee place to relax after our lunch before we went to our next destination. Took underground train and BTS(Bangkok train service) to Chitlom. and the train is not cheap! Its actually cheaper to tk cab or tuk tuk at BKK. The underground train station is somewhat the same from the underground station in S'pore.The only difference is the trains are shorter. We actually went to the last cabin and was happily taking pictures when we realise that the train is further ahead. Oh b4 i forget, Feilin actually have a very cute goatie which looks like a tattoo! can't stop laughing at it! hahaha!

Reached Central World Plaza, went Naraya to get EE Chuen's bag. It was crowded with alot of pple, making me confused of the things that i am getting. End up only got myself a Pink lunch totebag and some hp and coin pouches. And we simply love the toilet inside ZEN shopping mall. it was very nice with PINK mirror frames! hee. Dinner was at COCA! finally something nice!!!!!! ordered quite alot and the bill turns out to be less than $100 for the 6 of us! Suan Feilin again with my "Dun Cha" dance and there was this waitress who keep laughing at us. Not sure what she is laughing at, but can see that she can't stop laughing everytime she looks at us! lol. wanted to go to the supermarket at CWP but we could not find. Went all the way to basement only to realise that the supermarket is located at level 7! diaoz. went 7th floor but still we could not find. Gave up finally. ha. Shopped ard the roadside stores outside CWP before going back to our hotel. ha, while walking back to our hotel, we walked past a few massage shops again and hence we decided to do a full body thai massage! Did our massage and it was really very itchy again! haha. Me, jing and hazel were trying hard not to laugh while Poor ling was very quiet throughout the massage as she was in agony. The person massaging her uses lots of force till she told feilin now she can really empathize what he is going thru previously. haha. And when we came out of our massage, jeff told us their experience inside too! it was hilarious! Feilin bought this pair of shoe where the colour actually fades till his whole feet became black! and so end up he needs 2 person to help him clean up his very very black feet! and u will know how funny izzit when the usually "Straight-faced" Jeff actually laughed till his whole face turned red when he told us what happen! lol.

Went back to our hotel after which. Something happen to me and HAzel!! We were electrocuted! thank God the voltage isn't high. End up went to ling and jings' room to bathe. Continued with our very violent "Heart Attack" game and this time round ling joined us too. Poor Jing! she got hit by feilin's ring i think and her hand bleeds a little! ha. Dunno why we are so saddist, we just love this game still. hee. And sadly, its also our last night at BKK. :(

Last day was more of gift searching for our dear liling. Checked out from our hotel. Left our luggages and shopping bags in the hotel lobby while we continued our shopping. All of us were too tired to shop. Hence, we all accompany her to do a quick shopping to get all her gifts for her friends. ha. Went Platinum mall first and then to MBK. Me and Jing got our Dads a singlet each from MBK. hee hee. We had our late lunchie at this HK restaurant. I waited quite long for my prawn rice till i becum kinda frustrated. thank God it turned out to be nice. Heard from the gers that the tom yum soup was not nice! the seafood wasn't fresh and hence the soup has a fishy smell. Ate their birdnest and again it was to our disappointment. =( and from here, we went back to our hotel to board our van back to the airport.

On the plane, we discussed on each and every individual role in this trip.

Liling - Ms Most Uncomfortable and Painful award - She was sitting in a difficult position most of the times in the cab, in the tuk tuk, while she was sleeping, while doing massage, etc. haha

Ruijing - Ms Flexible and most movements award - The way she sit in the tuk tuk when 6 of us squeeze it was simply hilarious la! and of cos not forgeting when playing games how she was able to elbowed me and kicked Hazel! :P

Hazel - For her, its more of her "Ming yan" (Word of wisdom) that is "You zhe ge bi yao ma?(Izzit necessary?)" ha, she keep saying it like 100 timesS??? and not to forget she is Tattoo Hazel Venerakam Krishnam! hee

Jeff - Mr LS - he keeps going to the toilet and getting stuck inside for like 1/2 an hour??? ha, no wonder he is ever so skinny.

Feilin - Mr Black foot and Mr tattoo Koh! haha. His goatie simply looks like a tattoo la which makes me suan him uncontrollably!!!

Me - They called me Ms Joker for the trip! diaoz. Cos i did alot of funny things. Firstly, i did the rollercoaster dance when i was high. Next, I keep snorting while i was laughing which results in me being called Evolution(Evolved into a pig), short form Evo Li. Faints.Then came the "Dun cha" dance when i di siao feilin of his "Dun you know how to say sorry!" haha. And of cos u guys know how his tattoo thing came about. cos it was me who started the joke.

Overall, it was really a great trip for all of us!!! Indeed, i always enjoyed traveling with them! =) =) =)
